The first time we saw filmland of the movie heroine was Renuka Devi, so we incontinently fell in love with her At that time we were in Intermediate. 



Begum Khurshid Mirza whose real name was Khursheed Jahan came known as Renuka Devi before the partition of India and after getting Pakistan she came known as a prominent artist of Pakistan Television (PTV). 

 

 Begum Khurshid Mirza, who failed in Lahore on February 8, 1989, was known to the followership as'Aka Boa'. 



There's hardly a person in that period who has not seen his memorable plays'Karan Kahani','Zir Zabar Pesh','Uncle Arfi','Parchain','Rumi','Afshan'and'Anna'. 


But many people know that Begum Khurshid Mirza belonged to a well- known scholarly, erudite and artistic family of the key. 

 

 Begum Khurshid Mirza's father who came Sheikh Abdullah from Thakur Das 


 Begum Khurshid Mirza's father Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah was a famed educator. 


His memoir has been written by Professor Shams-ur-Rehman Mohseni under the name Hayat Abdullah. 


 According to this memoir, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah's real name was Thakur Das and he was born on June 21, 1874 in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.


 In 1890 he converted to Islam under the influence of Maulvi Hakim Nooruddin and after matriculation he entered MAO College Aligarh in 1891. 

 

 Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was a strong supporter of women's education She published a magazine, Khatun, in 1904, and also in 1906 established a boarding academy in Aligarh for the education of girls.


 This madrassa is a corner in the history of Muslim women's education across India Gradationally, the academy came a council. 



 






Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was conferred the title of'Khan Bahadur'by the British Government, the memorial degree of'LLD'by the Aligarh Muslim University and the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. 


The pixies affectionately called Sheikh Abdullah' Pop Mian'and his woman Waheed Jahan Begum'Aalaya B'. 

 

 A memoir of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah's woman Aala B has also been published which was written byDr. Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah himself. 

 

Son of Sheikh Abdullah who made Faiz Ahmed Faiz a part of progressive erudite movement 


 Among the daughters of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah,Dr. Rashid Jahan and Begum Khurshid Mirza gained great fame. 


Among them isDr. Rashid Jahan, one of the authors of the progressive erudite movement in the key. 

 

Dr. Rashid Jahan studied from Aligarh, Lucknow and New Delhi and after completing MBBS came involved in medical practice. 


 At the same time, he met Syed Sajjad Zaheer, Ahmad Ali and Mahmoud Al-Zafar who were told by illiberalism. 


In 1932, the four published a collection of fabrication called Angare, which included two stories byDr. Rashid Jahan, A Trip to Delhi and Behind the Scenes. 

 

 In 1934, she married Mahmud al-Zafar and moved with him to Amritsar, where she met pens and muses similar as Dr Muhammad Din Taseer, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Qazi Farid and Mian Iftikharuddin. It's said thatDr. 


Rashid Jahan played a veritably important part in making Faiz Ahmed Faiz a part of the progressive erudite movement. 


Dr. Rashid Jahan has published several collections of fabrication, plays and essays, including' Woman'and other fabrication, Honey and Honey and he and other fabrication and drama. 

 

 How to come Khursheed Jahan Renuka Devi? 












Begum Khurshid Mirza was born on March 4, 1918. Her real name was Khurshid Jahan and she was married at the age of 17 to a police officer Akbar Hussain Mirza. 

 

 Khurshid Jahan's family Mohsin Abdullah was associated with Bombay Pictures, a film company of Devikarani and Humansurai in Bombay. 


Through her, when Devika Rani met Khurshid Jahan, he invited her to act in his flicks. 


 Therefore Khurshid Jahan started working in flicks under the name'Renuka Devi' Begum Khursheed Mirza had said in an interview given toMr. Lutfullah Khan that Renuka Devi was the name of Devika Rani's late family and Devika Rani had given this name to Khursheed Jahan in memory of her family.
